SUSPENSION OF DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING EVIDENCE FOR PHASE 6 OF THE BAY-DELTA WATER RIGHTS HEARING

The Department of Water Resources (DWR) and U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) have requested that the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) suspend the July 13, 1998, deadline to submit testimony for Phase 6 of the Bay/Delta Water Rights Hearing. The subject of Phase 6 is the petition of the DWR and the USBR for joint use of points of diversion in the southern Delta. The reason for the request is to allow settlement discussions to proceed.
