To: Bay-Delta Service List MOTION REGARDING PHASE 2 OF THE BAY-DELTA WATER RIGHTS HEARING On July 1, 1998, Mr. Tim O’Laughlin, attorney representing the San Joaquin River Group Authority, filed a motion dated June 30, 1998 with the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) titled “Consideration of (1) Alternatives to Implement Water Quality Control Objectives for the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary, (2) A Petition to Change Points of Diversion of the Central Valley Project and the State Water Project in the Southern Delta and (3) a Petition to Change Places of Uses and Purposes of Use in the Central Valley Project [Bay-Delta Water Rights Hearing]”. Mr. O’Laughlin indicated that he has served all parties with a copy of the motion. Briefs are due July 9, 1998. The SWRCB will hear oral argument on the motion on the first day of Phase 2 of the hearing, as the first order of business. The SWRCB expects that Phase 2 will commence on either July 14, or July 15, 1998, following conclusion of Phase 1.
