Dear Mr. Stokely: RULING ON REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF PHASE 7 CLOSING BRIEFS Thank you for your letter dated May 26, 1999. You requested an extension of the deadline for filing closing briefs for Phase 7 of the Bay-Delta Water Rights Hearing so that you could get the transcripts from the SWRCB’s (SWRCB) internet site before filing your brief. The SWRCB can only post the transcripts on the internet as a result of an agreement with the court reporters who hold the copyright. Granting such an extension could have an effect on the needs of all the parties to obtain transcripts, and could compromise our ability to do any internet posting. Therefore, your request is denied. If you have any questions about this letter, you may contact Barbara J. Leidigh, Senior Staff Counsel, in the SWRCB’s Office of Chief Counsel, at (916) 657-2102. Sincerely, Signed on May 28, 1999 James Stubchaer |
