To Interested Parties:

The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) will convene a meeting on Tuesday, December 28, 1999, to consider two items. The SWRCB will first consider a proposed resolution to certify the final environmental documentation dealing with implementation of the 1995 Bay-Delta Water Quality Control Plan and petitions filed by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and the Department of Water Resources. The  SWRCB will then consider adoption of a proposed decision regarding Phases 1 (including 2A and 2B) through 7 of the Bay-Delta Water Rights Hearing.

The following documents relevant to the SWRCB meeting are enclosed:

  3. Item 1: Resolution regarding certification, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act, of: (1) The Final Environmental Impact Report for Implementation of the Water Quality Control Plan for the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary (SCH # 97-122056); and (2) The Final Environmental Impact Reports for Consolidated and Conformed Place of Use (SCH # 97-122042). Item 2: Proposed decision in the matters of: (a) implementation of water quality objectives for the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary; (b) a petition to change points of diversion for the Central Valley Project and the State Water Project in the southern Delta; and (c) a petition to change place of use and purpose of use of the Central Valley Project.
